A Little Bit About Us

So, what is the Chamber anyway, and what does it do?  Chambers of Commerce are non-profit organizations which represent and support businesses through networking, communicating with local, state, and federal elected officials, and others, to improve the business climate and make our communities a better place to live, work, and play.  Here in Mineral County, we are committed to the following:

  • We will do everything in our power to represent all parts of the county; we must have unity and work together in order to prosper together.

  • We will work to facilitate a new Activities Coordinator for the county who will develop, and coordinate activities for school-age kids and help insure parent networks are in place to help supervise the activities.  Town Halls will be held to explain this further and to solicit support.  This is being done to give kids opportunities to have fun in a safe environment and help fight the drug problem within every corner of our county.  We will be looking for lots of help and volunteers to do this right.

  • We will work with Mineral County Tourism to support our wonderful museums, trails, historical sites, restaurants, hotels, and shops, to bring in visitors to see our great sights and spend some time and money with us.

  • We will work to develop a tourism catalyst - something big enough to draw people from the major metropolitan areas to our piece of Almost Heaven.

There is much to do, and we look forward to working with you in making this wonderful place a little bit better.
